Our services

Sunday Services

As a church we meet every Sunday at 10.15am for our whole church morning service and at 6,30pm for evening worship.

We encourage everyone to attend our pre-service prayer meeting which starts at 9.45am in the morning and 6.00pm in the evening.

At our morning services, everyone starts in church together before our children and young people go to their own groups.

We also offer a creche for children aged 0 - 2 1/2 years, which is available throughout the service.

To find out more about our services for children and young people please go to the Church Life section on our website.

Worship is central to our services and as a church we enjoy varied worship with both traditional hymns and modern worship songs. We encourage anyone who loves singing and/or plays a musical instrument to talk to our deacon responsible for Worship about getting involved.

We regularly celebrate communion in both morning and evening services and during morning communion and school holidays our children and young people start their morning at Hopestreet with breakfast of tea and toast, before splitting into their own age groups.

All Age Worship

At certain times in our calendar we have All Age Worship services where everyone is welcome to worship together.  At these services we have our All Age Orchestra, which is made up of everyone, young or old, who is keen to play.

Some of the services are parade services attended by our Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. We strive to make our All Age Worship services as interractive as possible - for example when learning about the city wall Nehemiah was called to build in Jerusalem, we built our own wall in the service with cake boxes and our own prayers!

As a church family we believe that if we share together we will grow stronger together, so refreshments are offered after all of our services and we encourage everyone to come and enjoy fellowship together.  During the year we organise occasional bring and share lunches  and if the weather is good, in the summer, we go to the Rye  - a park located near the church.  Every two years we organise a whole church weekend away, which is a fantastic opportunity for everyone to spend time together and grow closer as a church family.
