Our Leadership

Leadership team at Union Baptist Church

Union Baptist is led by our Senior Pastor Malcolm Hazell and associated Pastor Andrew Wingfield

We also have a team of 4 Elders and 10 Deacons, elected from church members, who work with Malcolm and Andrew to deliver the church ministries.  The HUB team provide support to the church as well as running the HUB, which is the church's purpose built multi-functional facility which can accommodate meetings, conferences, concerts and other events throughout the week.

Malcolm Hazell – Senior Pastor

Malcolm moved to Union Baptist High Wycombe in summer 2015 having previously been the minister of Chenies Baptist Church for 12 years.

Malcolm is married to Dawn and they have three grown up children, Rob, Sarah and Michael.  Malcolm grew up in Croxley Green and trained as a management accountant with Unilever in London and Liverpool. Later he joined BPP Professional Education where he taught finance and strategy and directed professional accountancy training for BPP in the U.K..

Dawn and Malcolm love the outdoors and, with two Springer Spaniels, an allotment and children’s football matches to watch it is just as well.

Malcolm is passionate for the good news of Jesus to bring faith where there is doubt, hope instead of despair and love to overcome hatred.

Andrew Wingfield Associate Pastor

Andrew with his wife Miriam have been working with Emmanual International in Tanzania since 2005, but have recently felt God's called to come back to the UK to work as an asociate Pastor here at Union.

Both Andrew and Miriam believe passionately that God calls everyone to take part in His mission and they are excited to explore how the church can demonstrate the saving love of Jesus in the community, meeting physical, spiritual and social needs.

They have 3 energetic children: Ben, Sam and Bethany.

Ben Wilson Youth Pastor

Ben has a passion for seeing God working in the lives of young people through the ministry he has been called to and by sharing his own life experiences with them.  He has a deep desire to see those marginalised in schools succeed and thrive and to find a faith in Jesus.
