Welcome in Your Language - Live translation at Union Baptist Church
Everyone is welcome at UBC — and now you can experience our services in your own language.
We’re delighted to introduce Breeze Translate, giving you the opportunity to follow our church services with live translation on your own phone.
Whether English is your first language, you’re learning English, or you simply feel more comfortable listening in another language, we hope this helps you feel more at home at Union Baptist Church.
Many Languages. One Community.
We are a diverse church family, made up of people from many different cultures, countries and backgrounds.
We believe that language shouldn’t be a barrier to belonging.
With Breeze Translate, you can choose your preferred language and follow what is being said during the service in real time.
Come as you are. Join in. Worship with us.
How does it work?
It's really simple.
1. Bring your phone
Make sure your phone has enough battery and is connected to the internet. We have free, fast wifi you can connect to.
2. Scan the QR code
When you arrive at church, look out for the Breeze Translate QR code, which is readily available across the chapel. You’ll also be able to find instructions around the building.
3. Choose your language
Scan the code and select the language you would like to use.
4. Follow the service
The translation will appear on your phone as the service starts, allowing you to follow along in your preferred language.
It's that simple.
New to Breeze Translate?
Don't worry!
Our team will be available at church to help you get started.
If you have a smartphone but aren't sure how to use Breeze Translate, just ask someone on the Welcome Team.
We'd be very happy to help.
What if I don't speak much English?
You're very welcome at UBC.
You don't need to speak fluent English to come along, meet people and be part of our church community.
Breeze Translate is one of the ways we're trying to make our services more accessible to people from different language backgrounds.
So whether you've lived in High Wycombe for years or you've only recently moved here, there's a place for you at Union Baptist Church.
Many Cultures. One Community.
At Union Baptist Church, we want to be a community where people from different cultures and generations can worship, grow and serve together.
Different languages. Different cultures. Different stories.
One community.
We'd love you to join us.
